Four storefronts, mapped by what they are worth buying from

This board is a map of what is worth buying, and a map needs its sources marked. Kakobuy covers Taobao, Tmall, 1688 and JD, and each answers a different question: breadth, brand assurance, quantity pricing, and speed. Below, each is mapped accordingly rather than ranked by size.

Four storefronts, four answers

Taobao for breadth, Tmall for brand assurance, 1688 for quantity pricing, JD for speed. One Kakobuy account reaches all four.

  • Taobaothe widest range
  • Tmallbrand-official shops
  • 1688wholesale pricing with minimums
  • JDofficial shops, quick delivery

Marketplace rules and coverage move over time. The platforms and Kakobuy govern.

Each storefront, mapped

Grouped by the question each marketplace answers, not by how large it is.

  1. TaobaoOpen market

The general marketplace: everybody sells here, from individuals to established shops, which is why the map only marks the rows worth following.

  2. TmallMall storefronts

Brand and established-retail shops operating under tighter rules than the open market. Fewer surprises, slightly higher figures.

  3. 1688 WholesaleWholesale supply

Supplier listings priced for quantity, with minimums noted wherever the seller enforces them.

  4. JD.comOfficial retail

Retailer-operated shops with their own logistics and proper invoices, which is why they are marked for anything that needs documentation.

Reading the source

The domain identifies the seller type before you even open the listing — open market, mall, wholesale or retailer — and each behaves differently.
